Welcome to my new blog, a monthly update on what is happening within Advance Security.
September has been a busy month, the highlight of which was the opening of the new Westfield Stratford City Shopping Centre on the 13th September.
The site is vast (the largest urban shopping centre in Europe) and, as the gateway to the London Olympic Park and serving a catchment area of over four million people, it is destined to be a very popular shopping destination.
Advance provided security for the launch of the new Primark store within the centre. Already an existing customer, Advance will continue to be the security presence for Primark in store. I would personally like to extend a very big thank you to our management team and the fifteen security officers who were present, for providing such an excellent standard of service. Look out for the December edition of the Advance Forward for photos and further details.
The 2012 Olympic Games is less than 12 months away and much work is being done to ensure business continuity and safety during this time. Advance is working closely with customers to ensure that disruption to business, primarily due to the extra 550,000 people travelling to the games on the busiest days of the competition, is kept to a minimum. Further details will be available in the very near future.
