Advance Pandemic Plan

Three years ago Advance Security recognised the importance of having a robust continuity plan in place to combat the business impact of a flu pandemic.

The Advance Pandemic Plan takes into consideration a number of factors including the potential risks to the business, customers, suppliers, staff and their families.

The main elements of the plan include:

• A crisis management team
• Purchasing and storing emergency hygiene supplies
• Training material and advice leaflets for staff
• Reports analysing geographical impact by area
• Ability to mobilise staff for emergency cover

Basic Flu Personal Hygiene for Advance Employees

• Advance Security will keep you informed of any updates regarding swine flu. On that basis your manager may, if required, provide you with a protective mask and gloves and will advise you when to wear them.
• Stay away from communal areas, don't congregate in groups.
• Cover you nose and mouth with a tissue  when you cough or sneeze - throw the tissue away after use.
• Wash your hands with soap and water regularly, especially before eating and after coughing or sneezing.
• Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth with your hands.
• Ensure you dry your hands thoroughly after washing.
• Stay at least 1 metre away from sick people.
• If you get the flu - consult a doctor and telephone the Control Room.
